A tombola stall and a host of 'Fayre Favourites' were laid out in the gardens. A total of £1,160 was made on the day, a fantastic amount over tea! Photos of the day will be appearing here soon.

27th May 2017 Richard and Linda Escott held a CAFOD "Afternoon Tea Party", at their home in Bideford. Linda reports:-
"The grey, misty day was a disappointing start to the CAFOD Tea Afternoon after the drama of the previous Saharan like heat and wind, followed by a most dramatic thunder storm the night before. At North View Hill, Bideford the day got better as the weather warmed and brightened and the good folks rolled in. Craft, bric-à-brac, plants, books, cakes, plus craft beer tasting added to the mix with delicious teas being served in a crowded garden and house. Some people popped in for a while, others stayed all afternoon. The helpers were better than ever and the atmosphere was one of fun, communication, and good will. Linda and Richard were delighted with the outcome as £1070 was made for CAFOD. Thank-you to everyone who helped, attended and supported the day."16th May 2017 The Knights of Saint Columba organised a 'charabanc' trip for our Parishioners, to Chideock and the Shrine of the Dorset Martyrs, thence to Seaton and on to Colyton by vintage electric tram.
Gerald Crowe has written about the day, along with a slideshow of photographs which can be seen here.
